Focus on Native Plants and Pollinators

Also, new for this year will be a focus native plants and pollinators.  Blogs, workshops and events will be organized throughout the year to help educate gardeners about the many benefits of native plants and ideas for how to use them in the garden to attract native pollinators.
Thursday, March 9th is a workshop at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.  Garrett Ormiston, naturalist and landscape designer, will help gardeners design their home landscapes using native plants. Basic design principles and concepts such as naturalizing, height staggering, color balance, and symmetry will be discussed.
