Cash Mob a success!!

The GardenWalk Cleveland Cash Mob at Grace Bros in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood was a great success this past Saturday 14 April 2012. From 10AM until 4PM, about 200 people came to join in the fun and spent $3000. Don, Katie and Kevin Grace had extra people present to assist all the people that came to learn about this new farm, pet, and garden store located at 1907 West 5th Street and do a little shopping. Along with the Mob at Grace Bros, many went a few blocks north to Gypsy Bean for After-Mobbing and/or brought their coffee, tea and goodies back to the store for more fun.

At 12 Noon and on behalf of GardenWalk Cleveland, Kevin Borowiak presented the Grace Bros. with a framed copy of the 2012 GardenWalk Cleveland poster which included a thank-you plaque. Immediately following, Ward 15 Councilman Matt Zone presented a wonderful letter of congratulations and appreciation for joining our neighborhood with their business which Kevin Grace indicated would be framed and hung as well. Along with the fun  connected with shopping and spending, much garden information was shared and learned, old friends reconnected and many new friends were made. Thus, all the goals of a Cash Mob as created/instituted by local neighborhood activist Andrew Samtoy were in play and realized.
