West Park

The West Park neighborhood is featured in GardenWalk 2018 on Saturday, July 7th ONLY, from 10am-5pm.

West Park was named after a wooded park and lake on John West’s farm which was close to present day Lorain Ave. and West 138th St. West Park boasts tree lined streets and well-maintained houses built from the turn of the century on. It is home to the West Park Police and Firefighters Memorial on Rocky River Drive near McKinley. The neighborhood borders the Cleveland Metroparks and hosts several great events, including The Hooley on Kamm’s Corners the second Saturday in May in “downtown” Kamm’s Corners. Gardener Stories

Gardener David Horneck

My West Park garden started as a plot of grass in 2007. Each year since i added one major project, be that a sandstone patio with found stone, a flower bed or vegetable garden or a relaxing sitting area. Now that the plants and trees have had a few years to mature it finally feels like a full-fledged garden. All year long I look forward to dining, relaxing and entertaining friends al fresco.
