Little Italy

The Little Italy neighborhood is featured in GardenWalk 2019 on Sunday, July 14th ONLY, from 10am-5pm.

One of the city’s most enduring neighborhoods, Little Italy began as a community of Italian stone masons for Lakeview Cemetery.  Today it continues to celebrate its Italian heritage while offering variable housing options for workers from nearby hospitals and universities.  Garden spaces are many and varied in this one-square-mile area.

Transportation

There are many ways to access the gardens in Little Italy. There are two RTA stops – one on Mayfield Road and the other on Cedar Road. There are free UCI shuttle stops throughout the neighborhood. For a list of stops on the shuttle, go to www.universitycircle/circlelink.com. A parking lot at E. 119th St. and Mayfield Road is available. (You can use the Parkmobile app to pay.
