Press Release for GardenWalk Cleveland 2012

Press release 3/24/12 for CASH MOB: Garden Walk Cleveland

What’s the best way to say thank you? For a new business, would you think with a Cash Mob?! That’s right a cash mob.

Last summer on June 25, Kevin and Don Grace came to the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood as visitors on the first annual GardenWalk Cleveland (GWC). They liked what they found on the tour so much that they made the business decision to open their new location on the southern edge of the Gordon Arts and Entertainment District in the heart of the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood. The farm, pet and garden store is just steps away from where they saw some incredible urban gardens on GWC. When the organizers of GWC heard this story, they felt a desire to thank these businessmen. According to Jan Kious, chairperson of the GWC Steering Committee, “When someone comes on our tour and is inspired to locate a business in one of the GardenWalk neighborhoods, the business deserves more than just kudos. We need to do something special.” Other committee members Bobbi Reichtell and Kevin Borowiak did a little research and proposed a cash mob as a way of thanking these businessmen.

Grace Bros Cleveland is located at 1907 West 65th Street and the Cash Mob will begin at 10AM and go thru 4PM on Saturday 14 April 2012. The rules of the Cash Mob are to spend at least $20, make 3 new friends AND have a good time! The AfterMob will take place right down the street at Gypsy Bean and Bakery on the southwest corner of West 65th and Detroit. Enjoy your new friends with some freshly brewed coffee and a muffin! 12 Noon a special presentation will occur at Grace Bros when GWC leaders will formally thank the Grace brothers. Don’t miss the fun and community building.
